The new theatrical experience by the multi-award-winning Russian creator Ivan Vyrypaev is coming to Greece for the first time, following its successful presentations in European art capitals such as London, Warsaw, and Berlin.
Mahamaya Electronic Devices is more than just a performance; it’s an existential journey into the labyrinth of technology and consciousness, where the question of “what is real” meets the illusion of the digital world. Through electronic music, animation, visual fractals, and live performance, the viewer is immersed in a landscape that combines Eastern mystical tradition and Western digital culture.
The production, a collaboration between Artbox Theater, Kolossaion Productions, and Teal House, is one of the most technically demanding stage installations ever presented in Thessaloniki. The specialized multimedia equipment, video projections, and electronic composition create an experience that transcends the boundaries of theater.
However, the core of the work isn’t technology—it’s humanity. Mahamaya—”The Great Illusion”—poses questions on stage about identity, freedom, love, war, and the role of technology in shaping our reality.
